Happy Holidays everyone. I hope you are enjoying the season as you want and need with yourself, in community, or a custom blend of both.

Life came at me faster than a bullet train after the last weekly update all the way back in June. Many good things happened and many things changed.

Below is just a small portion of those things that happened. I feel proud and thankful. I grew tremendously this year, and I’m excited for all that’s on its way as a result of all that unfolded.

Universe, keep showing me how good it can get!

The Soundtrack

This song Feeling by Robert Castaño ft. KALLITECHINIS is a feel good song with a beautiful message in it, if you listen to the lyrics, that speaks to how I’m feeling right now as I reflect on this year.

Pura Vida

Roasting cocoa beans (for chocolate) at the Tour de Plantas Medicinales y Chocolate Familia Catato in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

I went to Costa Rica the last week of August, and the experience and energy there shifted my aura and brain chemistry in some of the most beautiful ways possible. I definitely stepped through a portal there.

It was my first time solo traveling with a group of people that I didn’t know ahead of time.

I was nervous about this, but it ended up being such an enriching experience. I made new friends, gained new perspectives, and fell in love with the Limón/Puerto Viejo area. The energy, weather, food, beaches, people, and fresh fruit rejuvenated me in ways that I didn’t know that I needed.

I met many Black American immigrants while there, and enjoyed talking to them about living abroad there and other countries. It reawakened the dormant possibility of living abroad temporarily or permanently.

Thanksgiving on the beach

Last month, for the Thanksgiving day weekend, I went to Cabo San Lucas, along with my dad and some family friends to surprise my mom for her 65th birthday. My dad coordinated the whole thing, and it went off without a hitch!

Cabo is beautiful, and my mother was floored. Seeing her joy made my heart swell and the time out there even more amazing. She said it was the best birthday ever.

The weather was beautiful there too. I definitely was sad to come back to the bitter cold weather that was waiting for me back in the northeast. Lol.

While I was there, I felt another wink from the universe about living abroad, with easy access to a beach.

PMP certified, bay-bee

“No my first name ain’t baby. It’s Milan, Ms. Milan, PMP, if ya nasty!”

The rest of my summer was spent studying for a professional certification in project management called the PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

The test is no joke. It’s 180 tricky questions, and you get 3 hours and 50 minutes to complete it. I completed that exam with only 3 minutes to spare!

But I got it done, and passed it earlier this month.

I feel so accomplished. This wasn’t just a superficial title to acquire and get paid more. I’m genuinely excited to be a better project manager and apply the best practices that I learned from this certification on future projects. I’ve enjoyed a career in project management for 10+ years, and love it.

Human Design

I’m currently OBSESSED with the Human Design framework.

My mentor introduced me to it last month, and it’s helped me to appreciate myself as I am even more than I already do. It’s also helped validate me in many ways and better understand myself, and appreciate how I work best, the best use of my energy navigating life and work, and my life purpose.

The framework’s not law, but it’s definitely given me more perspective that the “secret” to anyone’s personal success is in being nothing more than themselves.

I was created exactly as I am for a reason.

I didn’t come here to be like everyone else.

I learned that my energy type is the manifesting generator, and a lot about it tracks for me. I’m definitely a multi-passionate being. I love multi-tasking, having many interests and hobbies, moving fast, manifesting fast, and creating efficiencies.

Choices

I made some important decisions and took some divine risks that resulted in me quantum jumping to a new timeline that I’m excited about.

One of them was the decision to move forward with a portfolio career, and not return to a full time corporate job. I want more flexibility to work from anywhere, do work that ties into my skills and interests, and design a schedule that aligns with my desired life and needs.

A portfolio career allows for this, and, turns out, is a good fit for many manifesting generators who have multiple interests and things they want to do for work.

My portfolio of income streams will include freelance project management work, my energy healing practice, coaching, teaching yoga, and hosting global retreats. All of these streams give me the freedom to travel, which is very important to me.

When I make up my mind about something, things move very fast to manifest it for me. So I’ve got my seatbelt buckled and I’m ready to GO.

In Summary

The rest of this year was a fruitful tornado of more experiences, releasing, lessons, reminders, changes, blessings, and clarity on who I am, where I’ve come from, and where I’m heading.

My word for 2026 is PRONOIA.

Pronoia is the belief that the universe is conspiring in your favor. The universe kept showing me how good it could get without me always being fully aware. I feel so thankful.

I’m deliberately leaning into pronoia next year, and looking forward to seeing the universe show me even more how good it can get.
