Week 19 in 2025

Week 19 in 2025
1–2 minutes

In summary

This current week has been bananas so that’s why this recap of last week is later than usual.

Last week was all about getting back to day to day life from traveling to two different cities over two weeks. It rained the majority of the time so I spent a lot of time indoors reflecting and cozying up on the couch. A really cool new chapter began that I’ll share eventually, but it needs to unfold some more before I talk about it.

The soundtrack

There wasn’t any music I especially listened to or enjoyed over the week, but I did continue listening to the audio book, ‘Harlem Rhapsody‘ (affiliate link) by Victoria Christopher Murray. It’s a fiction novel based on real Foundational Black American history during the early 1900’s, aka, Harlem Renaissance. I’m enjoying it so far, even though I want to shake Jessie for some of the choices she makes. Lol. IYKYK.

Study tables

Studying for the PMP certification burns on. I’m enjoying it and my pace. This is my third time attempting to study for the PMP. The previous times, life commitments became higher priorities and I had to pivot.

This time around, I’m in the right headspace mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to be fully present for preparing for the exam. I’ll be ready to take and pass the test this August.

Greyscale

I met up with one of my old managers that transitioned to a mentor and friend that I appreciate that deeply. We caught up on life and processed some of these bizarre things going on in the country together. Even though it was grey and soggy out, I left our meet up feeling lighter and brighter.

Outfit check

A pleated midi skirt hate to see me coming.

Quotes that resonate

Words of wisdom and reminders that struck a chord with me.

This week I’m looking forward to

  • Some exceptionally good news
  • Clarity on an outstanding matter
  • My mom being in town

What are you looking forward to this week?
