Affirmation of the week
The reason for all challenges, Milan, is so that you can finally learn that none are bigger than you.

In summary
I blew back into town from visiting family and three days later, I was traveling again to Norfolk for my sorority’s regional conference. Before going back out of town, I went to see Sinners in the theater again for the second time. I noticed even more details and symbolism- it’s just so good! The conference was fabulous. It left me feeling proud and pumped to continue contributing to and leading great work in my local communities, this country, and the world. I truly love being a part of something greater than me and that will live on beyond me.
The soundtrack
I Lied to You from the Sinners movie soundtrack played in the background of my week. The performance of the song is my favorite scene in the entire movie. I especially felt the humming in the song reverberating in my soul. Blues music reaches you to your core. Blues music is a spiritual experience that my people created to heal, feel, and express and stay tethered to our African ancestry and roots.
Window with a view

The view from the air during the descent back to the Big Apple.
Regional conference
We got business done and had fun at my sorority’s regional conference. I loved the mini exhibit activation that was there, chronicling my our regional history and achievements.
So nice, I saw it twice

Had to see it again. I’m tempted to go see it for a third time. I may do a write up on it. So many messages and a lot of symbolism to unpack. 🤔

This week I’m looking forward to
- Changing out my fall and winter wardrobe (I didn’t get to it last week)
- My home cooking
- Getting new stools for my kitchen
What are you looking forward to this week?
