Affirmation of the week

Abundance pursues me tirelessly.

It came to me almost out of nowhere this week

In summary

Lately I’ve felt less afraid to be myself unapologetically, want what I want, and ask for what I want.

Because of this, abundance has been relentlessly pursuing me. *in Kendrick Lamar and Sza voice* “And that’s the way I like it.”

I received some great news this week that reflected this.

I spent the week in the Midwest visiting with my family. While everyone worked and went to school or daycare during the week, I rested, finished one of my Kindle books, and exercised. And my PMP studies burned on.

If I keep the pace I’m studying at now, I’ll be ready to take it before August. I’m hype. I’ve been in the profession for 10+ years. I’m always learning more to hone my craft and be the best project management professional that I can be.

While there, I had lunch with one of my line sisters as well and we caught up on life. Our conversation made me so proud of the women that we’ve grown into and are becoming.

The soundtrack

I didn’t listen to a lot of music this week. However, I listened to some good podcasts during my work outs. One I particularly enjoyed was R&B Money’s more recent episode interviewing Christina Millian.

Taco Wednesday

My mom, sister, and I had taco flights and margaritas at Agave & Rye to fellowship, discuss some business that we’re in together, and celebrate the good news that I had received.

My mom was reminded why she needs to stick to sangria and leave margaritas alone though. Lol. She’s okay and our dad jokingly texted my sister and me the next day saying, “Shame on you for getting your mother wasted last night!” Haha!

A life rich in funny memories with good people and loved ones is everything.

You get a bowl, and you get bowl….

I made countless breakfast, lunch, and dinner bowls. I wouldn’t be surprised if my reflection in the mirror has turned into a bowl. Lol.

Five crowns

My sister and her family hosted dinner the night before I flew back to NY. They got our parents and me hip to this card game called Five Crowns. Once we understood the rules, it got serious! But it was so much fun. I may have to add it to my game night collection.

Quotes

These quotes stood out and resonated with me this week.

This week I’m looking forward to

  • Seeing how a self hypnosis session will help me with a habit I want to replace with something healthier
  • Switching out my winter wardrobe for the spring & summer one!
  • Sugar detox. Last week and all the Easter candy and sweets were fun, but it’s time to get back to my usual eating and routine.

What are you looking forward to this week?
