Pronoia
“pro noy uh”
(n) The belief that the universe is conspiring in your favor. A state of mind that is the opposite of paranoia.
In Summary
I didn’t capture much of the week. I didn’t do most of the things that I had on my to-do list either. My pronoia expanded exponentially, though. I don’t need to aspire to be a master manifestor anymore, because this week reminded me that I’ve been being one (a very powerful one at that) for some time now.
I rested a lot and excitedly presented one of my projects to stakeholders. During the presentation, I included visibility to a younger professional who was a vital co-lead in getting it over the finish line. I’m big on participating in the infinite cycle of holding space for others because so many have held space for me along my personal and professional journeys. These instances empowered me to trust myself and abilities. Keep rising. I delight in offering this to others. I hope it inspires them to keep the cycle going and offer it to others.
The soundtrack
Jon B has new music! My Millennial R&B fans know that Jon B was a welcomed addition to R&B music when he first hit the mainstream in the 90s. I’m forever a fan. So far, “Show Me” on his recently released album, “Waiting on You”, is my favorite song. It’s moody, sexy, and luxurious feeling. You also can’t go wrong on a collab with Alex Isley.
A Night at the Ballet

I finally got around to seeing a Dance Theatre of Harlem performance over the weekend at NY City Center. It was D9 & HBCU Alumni Night and the theater was bursting with just a sampling of Black America’s finest. The mix of classical, contemporary, and modern ballet pieces in the show were phenomenal.
What I wore

En route to the performance, I thought to myself, “I should have worn my black beret instead.” Oh well, this looked cool too.
That’s all folks

That’s it for this week! I, legit, didn’t capture much. Some weeks are like this. But as Francina Simone of the Midnight Scholars Society said in one of her recent newsletters, “You’re not a factory. You’re a portal.”
Let’s see what this current week has in store for me. I’m expecting some good things and more good news. I’m excited already.

This week I’m looking forward to
- Completing my bathroom wallpaper project
- Kicking off studying for the PMP exam
- A field trip
If some of these look familiar to last weeks entry, it’s because I didn’t do them. Haha. I’m rolling them over to this week.
What are you looking forward to this week?
